Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
Angels, portals to other worlds, teeth collecting, black hand prints on doors...What could all of these things have to do with lonely art student Karou? As strange as it all seems, Taylor does an excellent job of tying all of these odd elements together and explaining how they fit into Karou's life. This book was engaging and fast paced. I couldn't put it down! There are so many teen fantasy books available now, and I think this is one of the best I've read in awhile.
